ProtectUS Law
Anorexia and Bulimia Legal Team

ProtectUS Law is focusing its legal resources on holding the social media companies accountable and in particular for the harm they do to adolescents.

The recent interview of Meta whistleblower Frances Haugen brought to light evidence that social media websites have intentionally targeted harmful communications at children suffering from anorexia and/or bulimia.

Social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube have been deliberately targeting young teenagers with harmful algorithms. These platforms must be held responsible for their pernicious conduct.

"We make body image issues worse for one in three teen girls," notes Instagram's own internal report.

HAS YOUR ADOLESCENT CHILD DEVELOPED AN EATING DISORDER LIKE ANOREXIA OR BULIMIA BECAUSE OF INSTAGRAM?

If your adolescent child has been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and/or bulimia nervosa, and you think that social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube may have harmed your child and contributed to their illness, our Anorexia/Bulimia Legal Team would like to evaluate your possible case at no cost to you.

We fight for innocent adolescent victims, diagnosed with Anorexia or Bulimia, who may have been harmed by social media.

TESTIMONIALS

Hello, as we all know eating disorders are mental illnesses that are not “caused” by anything specific. They are like loaded guns they are born with. However, there CAN be external triggers. In my daughter’s case one of the primary triggers WAS social media and specifically Instagram and TikTok.

Another parent on here, an attorney, posted earlier this year about a lawsuit that was being filed against Meta, the parent company of Instagram for knowledge they had about information on their sites that was KNOWN by them to help increase eating disorders.

We have also joined this lawsuit, in order to hold them accountable as well.
